Established in 2014. The inspiration for Vintage Style Cakes & Cookies came not only from my passion for baking and creating new products but having four family members who suffer from gluten intolerance. After trialling many recipes over the past few years I decided to give out samples to friends and workmates without mentioning they were gluten free before they tasted them. The feedback was very positive!
After discovering how many people who are intolerant to gluten I decided to start baking for the community. The recipes I use are my traditional family recipes taught to me by both of my Grandmothers, my Mother and Aunty along with favourites that I picked up along the way during my almost three decades in the Baking and Pastry industry.
I have not only gained valuable skills and knowledge in the industry but also had the privilege of passing it on through teaching. With a constant enthusiasm to create new products my goal is to eventually have a broad variety of diverse, delicious, traditional bakery products…to suit everyone’s cup of tea!
