The Newcastle Regional Show (or as the locals call it ‘The Show’) is a wonderful annual event held by the Newcastle AH & I Association Inc. at the Newcastle Regional Showground in Broadmeadow.
Here’s a little history of how it came about. Click here for more information
The show comprises a centre ring show with livestock parades, show jumping and various attractions such as speedway/motorcross cars, marching bands and fireworks; an agriculture pavilion with displays and judging of livestock and produce; commercial stands and exhibits; an exhibition centre hosting many exhibits including an entertainment stage for children, a mini cinema, showbag world and a variety of other stall holders. And of course the show wouldn’t be a show without sideshow alley with carnival rides, shopping, food courts etc. The Newcastle Entertainment Centre is also located inside the showground and is used for a variety of expos from Lego to food and wine, health and lifestyle and a few others to keep you entertained. IGA is once again the major sponsor.
